Clotxin

This bivalve mollusk flourishes in the 22 rafts registered in Valencia.

Its cultivation is mainly located near the port of Valencia, following strictly the lunar calendar, between April and August.

Valencian clóchina has had a Designation of Origin since 2008 thanks to the “Clòtxina de València” distinctive.

There are different ways to prepare them, for example steamed with a little oil and lemon.
