Cambrils - Saborea España

Cambrils, on the shores of the Mediterranean and in the heart of the Costa Daurada, is a touristic town that unites tradition and modernity, and has a fishing fleet that, as is customary, every evening bring us that exquisite seafood, so highly regarded in the gastronomic world along with the products from the agricultural cooperative that are the staple of a cuisine of such recognised prestige.

The combination of the daily tasks performed by the fishermen of the Confraria along with the farmers of the Cooperativa Agrícola, together with the professionals in the kitchens, make Cambrils a touristic place in which gastronomy is one of its main strengths. Many are the tourists who travel every year from across the world to the Mediterranean town to taste their seafood creations, in which they have known how to adapt the tradition to the new trends, yet never losing the character of a little fishing village with deep roots in the land.

The variety and high standards of its more than 150 restaurants, two of them awarded with the prestigious Michelin Star, the restaurants Can Bosch and Rincón de Diego, and many others mentioned and awarded in magazines specialised in gastronomy and tourism, make Cambrils recognised as the Gastronomic Capital of the Costa Daurada.

Together with the catering entrepreneurs of Cambrils, the Tourist Board of Cambrils and the Town Hall organise a Gastronomic Calendar each year with the aim of promoting and inviting you to savour the leading products for each season in the year. The calendar gives prominence to local products and authentic recipes very typical of Cambrils: fish, seafood and vegetables combined with seasonal recipes by our creative chefs, marked with their own style and revealing the unique and unmistakable traditional flavours.

Ten proposals are those that make up the Gastronomic Calendar of Cambrils, from the month of February through to the month of December. Mantis shrimp, artichokes, squid or Arbequina olive oil, are some of the most valued products, which together with romesco or golden noodles, are part of the Mediterranean DNA of Cambrils.

Cambrils is undoubtedly an all year round gastronomic touristic destination. Its renowned restaurants offer a quality and personal service to visitors from all over Europe who value their experience in Cambrils very positively, and vocational training by the School of Hotel Management in the town, guarantee a generational change and a high standard of professional preparation for the next representatives of the cuisine of Cambrils.
