A total of 20 hospitality and retail businesses in Logroño have received tourism and gastronomic signage today for their participation in the project “Design of an Integrated Tourist Signage System”, promoted by Saborea España as part of its “Gastronomic Experiences” programme. Logroño was selected as the pilot city for this initiative.
The project is supported by the Logroño City Council and the Riojan Hospitality Association of FER, in collaboration with Saborea España and Hostelería de España.
The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Logroño, Conrado Escobar; the President of Hostelería de España and Vice President of Saborea España, José Almeida; the President of Hostelería Riojana, Francisco Martínez Berges; and representatives of the awarded establishments.
Saborea España, which includes the Logroño City Council and Hostelería Riojana among its members, continues to strengthen its commitment to gastronomic tourism through initiatives that enhance the culinary offer of Spanish destinations and support the primary sector.
This signage initiative allows visitors to clearly identify gastronomic resources in each location, organized into categories such as restaurants, food shops, primary producers, or cultural assets. Thanks to these signs, tourists will more easily discover the culinary richness of each destination and enjoy an enhanced travel experience.
In Logroño, the awarded establishments are:
Carnicería Rituerto, Catanatura, De Torre Gourmet, Horno Arguiñano, Aker, Asador Alameda, Asador El Tahiti, Cafés el Pato, Casa Ríos, El Bule, La Cocina de Ramón, La Despensa del Marqués, Los Caballeros, Restaurante Delicatto, Sopitas, Terete, Victoria, Bodega Arizcuren and Pastelería Iturbe.
Francisco Martínez Berges emphasized the importance of this initiative in positioning Logroño and La Rioja as a leading gastronomic destination:
“We are one of the finest gastronomic destinations in Spain. We stand out for our diverse and rich cuisine, our world-renowned Rioja wines, and the natural and cultural heritage of our region. The businesses recognised today are a testament to this quality.”
