  • Description: Taste for Mediterranean cuisine. La Arrancadilla is the brainchild of Sergio Jimeno Galilea, a seasoned professional in the restaurant world who has opted for a careful, seasonal cuisine, with Mediterranean flavours and aromas. The offer of this place is surprising, and its technique and knowledge is attested by placing very well in the latest Pinchos Competition of La Rioja with its tapa ‘Descorchado’, made with foie-gras, pistachio, grape juice, lime and basil. La Arrancadilla offers a wide range of dishes: boneless ribs with crunchy pork cheek and sautéed mushrooms, sea bass with citrus notes and cous-cous, ‘castigao’ tomato salad, or almond tuile and hazelnut ice-cream. But one of its greatest successes has been the ‘Tenderete’, marinated anchovies with crispy roasted tomato bread and tapenade. Its roast marrow with its special tacos and, for those who like more fish, the tuna tataki, have also made a name for themselves among the people of Logroño.

  • Description: Ode to ingredients and good service. Ingredients are the keystone: Iberian cured meats, almadraba tuna, prawns from Huelva, king prawns from Sanlúcar… and an infinity of delicacies from the hand of Victorino Galilea, a gourmet and ham cutter who takes your breath away with the passion he exudes in everything he does. This place started with ham sandwiches and is now a point of reference for the people of Logroño. Victorino Galilea is very clear about this: “I look for and bring the best, from ham to seafood, from Cadiz almadraba tuna to caparrones (beans) from Anguiano. This is the basis and it’s non-negotiable. Then there are other things and they are also very important. One of them is service.” And it does it well, as does the wine list, with more than a hundred items including many with designations of origin.
