Gourmet and tradition route

Gourmet and tradition route

On this route, you can enjoy the best wood-fired suckling lamb and the finest gourmet products of Valladolid.

Valladolid offers all visitors the opportunity to discover its gastronomy and wines in very different ways, from its tradition of wood-fired suckling lamb to its most gourmet products, avant-garde tapas and amazing wine tastings. This route is your chance to explore all the facets that make Valladolid a place to enjoy with your five senses. And in fact, Valladolid tastes like suckling lamb. Its tender, juicy meat, roasted with great patience in a wood-fired oven, is one of the gems of Spanish gastronomy. Along this route, you’re invited to taste this traditional dish with centuries of history, prepared by the greatest master roasters, and to learn the secret behind the success of Valladolid’s cuisine: its products. You’ll visit gourmet shops with an exquisite selection of food products and wines and check out the gastrobars in the recently renovated Mercado del Val.
This route also stops at unique attractions, such as the spectacular Pasaje Gutiérrez, one of the few shopping arcades to be built in Spain, and the Valladolid Cathedral Tower, where you can enjoy unparalleled views of the city.
