Canary Island Cheese

On Gran Canaria Island they make some of the best cheeses in the world. There are 80 traditional cheesemakers offering a wide varety of cheeses (fresh, semi-cured, cured and “flor”) borne of the different types of milk and their various combinations, as well as the different techniques used. Most cheesemakers use raw milk from local goats, cows and sheep in order to conserve its natural and nutritional qualities.

The island’s geography, microclimates and biodiversity lend our cheeses unique flavors and bouquets that are part of our culinary cultural heritage.
