World Tapas Day

World Tapas Day celebrates one of the most iconic, welcoming and shared ways of enjoying Spanish gastronomy. It is a day to highlight tapas as a symbol of our culinary culture, our way of socialising and the gastronomic richness of Saborea España destinations.
Under the concept “Tapeando” — enjoying tapas — the event invites visitors to discover the diversity of flavours, products, recipes and ways of understanding tapas across Spain: from the most traditional proposals to the most creative interpretations by chefs, bars and restaurants.
Throughout the day, tapas become a meeting point between gastronomy, tourism and culture, reinforcing their value as a shared experience and as a hallmark of the Spanish way of life. Because going out for tapas is not just about eating: it is about walking, talking, discovering, raising a glass and savouring each destination one bite at a time.
World Tapas Day: a celebration to keep savouring Spain.
