The Ruta del Paquito is back! A fun and informal campaign that celebrates the Ternasco de Aragón PGI sandwich as an original, flavorful, and affordable way to enjoy this iconic “pink meat” from Aragón.
This tasty initiative, organized by the PGI Ternasco de Aragón in collaboration with Interovic, aims to further popularize the Paquito in bars and restaurants throughout Aragón—especially in Zaragoza and the surrounding province.
What is a Paquito?
The Paquito is a sandwich made with Ternasco de Aragón lamb meat, served in bread and open to endless culinary interpretations.
It’s a well-rooted tradition in Aragón that dates back more than 20 years, although its national promotion began just six years ago. The name Paquito was created to identify this sandwich in the same way that Pepito refers to a beef sandwich in Spain.
For this new edition of the route, participating venues have unleashed their creativity to craft unique and delicious versions of the Paquito, offering something for every taste.
