Three places to explore agroecology:
-
Fuente de la Hispanidad in Plaza del Pilar – Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM
-
San Francisco University Campus – Fridays from 9:30/10:00 AM to 1:30/2:00 PM
-
Marco Polo Square in Parque Venecia – Wednesdays from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
In summer (July and August), the schedule changes to 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. During the Christmas holidays, the market temporarily moves to Plaza San Bruno.
Buy organic food directly from local farmers.
And don’t miss the Agroecological Vermouths on the fourth Saturday of each month, at the Plaza del Pilar market from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM — with music, dancing, workshops, kids’ activities, collectible recipes, tapas tastings, and much more. A space to enjoy seasonal, local gastronomy, connection, and community.
All market stalls are reserved for certified organic crop and livestock producers.
The Agroecological Market of Zaragoza was created through a partnership between the Zaragoza City Council’s Environment Department, UAGA-COAG, CERAI, and the Aragonese Committee for Organic Agriculture. The first edition took place on Saturday, June 6, 2009, with the participation of 10 producers.
100% organic products — with the exception of farmers in the Zaragoza Agroecological Garden Network, who may sell during their first conversion year.
